This is replacement for DroidBot 1.0. It has all the features of 1.0 and then a few more. DroidBot 2.0 is a robot build using only parts from 45544 LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 Core Set + 1 color sensor. They were designed by members of the LEGO MINDSTORMS Expert Panel, and they’re officially endorsed by LEGO. Some of them also appear on the EV3 packaging.
Like any electro-mechanical construction, the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot requires power. The standard LEGO robot power supply is composed of 6 AA 1.5V batteries. Electric motors are powered by 9V, and one of the microcontrollers and some of the integrated circuits are powered by 5V. The main microcontroller is powered by 3.3V.
