ICE high-speed train. The ICE (InterCity Express) is a high-speed train that connects all major cities in Germany. With speeds up to 300km/h, this is one of the fastest ways to travel between cities such as Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. The ICE has international connections to Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Austria.
The entry level one-way first class pricing was 51.90 EUR, which I thought was quite reasonable. Deutsche Bahn has several types of first class fares. The 51.90 EUR price is the absolute cheapest. If you want ticket flexibility and access to the DB Lounge, your ticket is going to cost at least three times as much.
The first class car was the last car on the train. Seats are basically the same as in Acela Express business class. They’re a bit wider, a bit more legroom, but they’re similar. The benefit I think is that there are solo seats (seating 1-2 rather than 2-2) so you can have more personal space if you’re traveling alone.
The lounges are only included 1st class Flexpreis (full price) tickets, though. I wouldn't recommended those for OP. The price difference between 1st class Flex and 2nd class for a whole family of 5 is so massive it's imo not worth it. 1st class Sparpreis (budget tickets) can be a good bargain, but they don't include lounge access.
